OnePlus 2 gets OxygenOS 3.0 beta for Android Marshmallow

Those interested in getting the OxygenOS 3.0 beta build with Android Marshmallow will have to manually flash their devices

OnePlus has released a beta build of the OxygenOS 3.0 ROM with Android Marshmallow, for the OnePlus 2. However, it is not available as an OTA update, and those interested will have to manually flash their devices. This build is eligible for OTA updates, and will be updated to the final build of OxygenOS 3.0, when it is launched by the company.
According to a post on OnePlus' forums, the beta build includes all the features that come with Android Marshmallow, along with some other additions. This includes a new camera UI, new wallpaper picker and improvements to the Shelf UX. The build also improves the speed of fingerprint recognition and presents changes to the settings menu and general performance improvements, in addition to the March security patches. However, OnePlus has warned that this build will not save fingerprints, and users will have to re-register their prints if they have fingerprint authentication set up. The tuner and presets for Maxxaudio will also be removed, and some apps may not work in the new build without upgrading to versions that are compatible with Android Marshmallow. In addition, users won’t be able to roll back to a previous version of OxygenOS, without wiping data. The company also notes that it is investigating the Wi-Fi speed issues that have been reported during soak testing.
